Want To Surf Alaska?

Want to wear flannel? Build fires, save the world and surf your brains out with Joe Curren…in Alaska? Well the good people at Coastal CODE (Clean Oceans Depend on Everyone –– www.coastalcode.org) want to send four SURFING Magazine readers on the ultimate core score raising surf trip to shred the icy shores of the Pacific Northwest.

If selected, you will join fellow CODE Keepers and pro surfer Joe Curren on the ultimate surf adventure September 28th through October 4th, 2008, surfing icy waves, cleaning up the coastline and promoting the precious resources of one of the most pristine places on earth.

Your duties as a CODE Keeper will require you to:

• Surf the waves of Yakutat with pro surfer Joe Curren • Lead coastal clean-up efforts benefiting the shores of Alaska • Spread the message of Coastal CODE, its commitment to ocean conservation and its multimedia educational outreach program • Enjoy the adventure of Alaska, from glacier hiking and wildlife viewing to surfing and barbecuing with the Brew Crew of Alaskan Brewing Company in Juneau, Alaska.

To Enter: Send us a photo of you actively making a difference at your local break. Along with the photo, send us a short description (100-300 words) on why you feel it’s important to be pro-active in preserving our coastlines and we’ll put you on a plane to Alaska. Simple as that.
