Curl is forever on the Search for surfing's hottest future stars. The
GromSearch Series is our window into the grommet world and we want the
world's best youngsters to get involved.
GromSearch events
are for male and female surfers under the age of 16, and are all about
having fun and surfing with your friends. Running in 7 regions around
the globe, GromSearch encourages the young surfers of the world to compete
in a fair and friendly environment.
Now in its fifth year,
the GromSearch Tour has set the benchmark for the ultimate youth competitive
surfing platform, combining a high-performance, professional environment
with a unique double-elimination format that enables all groms (male and
female, 16 and under) to have more than one shot of making the finals
and nabbing the fresh loot of prizes that are at stake for each venue.
As in previous years,
the top finishers in each regional event will receive the big invite to
compete in the coveted National Final, being held later this year at Salt
Creek, Cali. The winner of the boys 16/U and Girls 16/U will receive an
all-expenses paid trip to Bells Beach, Australia to duke it out in the
Rip Curl International GromSearch Final smack dab in the middle of the
WCT Rip Curl Pro.
