About the NPJ

The Nike 6.0 Pro Jr. will take place on July 7th and 8th on the US’s biggest surf stage, Huntington Beach, CA. Featuring the world’s best and most progressive surfers from ASP Junior World Pro Junior Series, the Pier Pressure provides a vital stepping-stone to the World Qualifying Series (WQS) and the World Championship Tour (WCT).

Offering an opportunity to earn maximum points toward the 2008 Billabong World Junior Championships, the Nike 6 Pier Pressure draw pits top-rated Junior competitors from around the world against the highest rated North Americans. Qualifying through their results at the 2007 Billabong World Juniors, up to six of the highest rated surfers from Australia, Japan, Africa, Europe, South America and Hawaii will receive seeds into the event to compete against the field of North Americans. All the American surfers have been seeded into the events based on their ASP North America Junior Grade results from last year.
